1 Organising Authority and Venue
The organising authority and venue for the regatta is Sydney Flying Squadron, 76 McDougall Street, Milsons Point 2061.
2 Rules
The regatta will be governed by the current rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (2005-2008), the special regulations of Yachting Australia, the rules of the Australian International 14 class (except as any of these are altered by the sailing instructions) and by the sailing instructions.
3 Alterations of Racing Rules
The racing rules will be modified in accordance with rule 86 as follows:
Rule 44.1, taking a Penalty is altered to read: “A boat that may have broken a rule of part 2 while racing may take a penalty at the time of her incident. Her penalty shall be a 360°Turn Penalty”.
4 Eligibility and Entry
4.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the International 14 class that hold a valid measurement certificate. All sailors must be current financial members of their relevant state 14 foot sailing council. All sailors must also be member of a Yachting Australia affiliated club.

Online entries must be received by 1600 on thurs 13th April 2006. Paper entries must be received by 1300 on Fri 14th April 2006 at Sydney Flying Squadron and must be accompanied by the required fee (see item 5).

6 Schedule of Events
6.1 Registration:
Friday 14th April from 1200hrs to 1230hrs
6.2 Briefing:
Friday 14th April 1230hrs
6.3 Races:

Up to four races Sat 15th April 1255hrs

7 Measurements
Measurement is not required but each boat shall submit proof of holding a valid measurement certificate if requested.
8 Sailing Instructions
The sailing instructions will be available during registration at Sydney Flying Squadron.
9 Racing Area
The racing area shall be on the waters of Sydney Harbour, South of the Sow and Pigs Reef and East of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
10 Courses
The courses shall be windward/leeward courses as described in the sailing instructions.
11 Scoring
The Low Point scoring system, Appendix A.4.1 will apply.
12 Prizes
Prizes will be awarded at the discretion of the race committee.
