NSW are to host the 2007 - 2008 International 14 National Championships. This regatta will be held at the Sydney Flying Squadron in Kirribilli with sailing on the main harbour.

NOR Online entry

The Squaddy
The Squaddy has a licenced bar and restaurant and is next to a large park with ample rigging room. Trailors may be kept in the park for the event, however cars may not. We are currently attempting to gain temporary "residents permits" for competitors so that they will not be effected by any restricted parking zones. More details of the Squaddy can be found at Sydney Flying Squadron

The Squaddy is situated near Kirribilli shops, accomodation and public transport (train, bus and ferry) if you wish to see other parts of Sydney. There will also be a spectator boat arranged which we anticipate will be $20pp.

The sailing
The Nationals will be held between December 28 2007 and January 4 2008, with registration, measurement and the invitation race to take place on 28 December 2007. There will be 10 races, varying between one and two races each day, with a lay day on New Years Day. It is expected that sailing will take place in the afternoons unless a resail is required.

The NOR available here and has been approved by Yachting NSW. Online entry is available here.

Social
The association will organise various functions including opening night and presentation evening and some activities during the week. It has been decided not to plan a New Years Eve function but suggest that people go to one of the points on the harbour nearby and watch the fireworks off Sydney Harbour Bridge (don't forget the esky!)

Accomodation
There is a variety of accomodation available from hostel type lodging to apartments. A list of some possible accomodation is provided in the Notice of Race, however, there are more places available. Nearby suburbs at which you might seek accomodation (within walking distance) Kirribilli, Milsons Point, McMahons Point, North Sydney, Cammeray and Neutral Bay. There may also be billeting available.
